The Challenge
Youth unemployment is one of the most critical challenges facing East Africa, with millions of young people entering the labor market each year in economies that cannot absorb them. The resulting frustration feeds social instability and migration.

Youth Bulge
Over 60% of East Africa's population is under 25. Without meaningful employment opportunities, the region's demographic dividend risks becoming a demographic crisis.
Key challenges for youth:
• Skills mismatch between education systems and labor market demands
• Limited access to startup capital and business development support
• Weak linkages between training institutions and employers
• Lack of mentorship, networks, and career guidance
Our Solution
Our youth skills development program bridges the gap between education and employment through practical, market-driven training and enterprise support.
Technical and Vocational Training
We developed and delivered demand-driven training programs in partnership with private sector employers, ensuring graduates have skills that match real market needs.
Entrepreneurship Support
For youth choosing the entrepreneurship path, we provided business plan development workshops, seed funding support, mentorship, and market access facilitation.

The most effective youth employment programs are co-designed with employers. We work closely with private sector partners to ensure training is relevant and that graduates have clear pathways to employment.
